Comments Availability, tariff and booking The Lively Hope provided a lovely and luxurious
place to spend a summer week in Devon as we watched the tide come
and go from our own terrace. Being lulled asleep by the fresh river
air coming into the upstairs bedroom was a perfect end to a day
of activities, from boating to tennis to outdoor swimming in Topsham
(in a heated pool no less!), with the vast expanses of the sandy
beach at Exmouth a few miles away when we wanted to explore further
afield. Really though, everything we wanted to do was on the doorstep,
making it a peaceful, stress-free break and rest with our two young
boys. And the house had better facilities and fittings than we have
at home ! A real treat. The Lively Hope is a Tardis of delights. Open
the door of a tiny cottage, and find within a huge, light, modern
space leading to a private terrace and looking to the river and
the sky. The Lively Hope is a magical place at all times
of the year and it has been beautifully converted. In winter being
able to look out over the river while enjoying the delights of a
wood burning fire is an especial pleasure.
